Tempo Lock Program
Time: 20 minutes
Goal: Clean up tempo issues that kill distance control.
Structure:
-
Pick two distances (example: 45 and 65 yards)
-
For each distance, the main focus is matching the tempo of your stored reference (backswing length is secondary)
-
Hit 6–8 balls per distance
-
Feedback emphasis: “Tempo matched” vs “Tempo too quick/slow”
Useful when you notice your shorter shots getting grabby or feel deceleration or quickness on the downswing.
